The image of the snowy peaks and the one with the fall colors didn’t quite print like I imagined they would. They appear a little less sharp and a little more dull (colors). I suspect this is just the nature of looking at images on a high definition, bright monitor, and the challenge of transferring this to a print. However, I did notice that I made a mistake when exporting the images from Lightroom. I left the dpi at 72, which is the setting I use for exporting images for social media. I believe the recommendation is to export at 300 dpi for prints. Do you think this may have effected the way the prints came out? If so, one suggestion I can offer is perhaps the graphic designer (or your import tool) can confirm the image is being provided with sufficient dpi for your printers? I’m also wondering if it would be worthwhile for you to provide customers with a set of best practices around the optimal settings to use in Lightroom (and other software) for exporting images for canvas printing. Just some food for thought. You guys are great!
