Size Options
Since every one of our canvases begins with a hand-crafted wooden frame, you can choose from any size canvas that works best with your photo. From small to very large, we offer sizes ranging from 6″ to 96″ and everything in between.
Border Colors
For the sides of your artwork, choose either an mirror wrap, image wrap, or select a solid border. Besides an image and mirror wrap, black and white are our most popular options, so we have created easy buttons just for them. Our graphics artists are happy to make recommendations if they think that your canvas would look better with another border color choice, and they will include that suggestion in your proof notes.
Frame Depth Choices
.75
This size is best if you are interested in adding a decorative frame to your custom canvas print. Also, when choosing image wrap for your border, you lose the least of your photo around the edges with this frame depth.
1.5
The standard for canvas art, this frame thickness is our most popular and is especially best for prints over 40 inches. It gives a good “heft” to your artwork without being too bulky.
2.0
If your artwork is large or if it needs to make a big impact, this is the best choice. If you have walls that are heavily textured (such as rock, wood paneling, or just heavy plaster texture), a 2″ frame is a good way to make sure your canvas print isn’t visually lost on your wall.
Canvas Finishes
Our graphic designers are more than happy to help you with finish recommendations specific to your photo. In fact, we recommend finish changes for about half of the canvases we work on. If we do think a canvas finish change is appropriate for your photo we’ll let you know during the proofing process.
Matte
Matte is best for portraits containing people and it's the best a preserving detail because of the complete lack of glare from ambient lighting.
Semi-Gloss
This canvas finish is reflective enough to simulate an oil painting finish without creating much glare from ambient light.
Glossy
Glossy canvas prints intensify the sense of depth by enhancing the tone characteristics of an image; meaning, it’s perfect for true-to-life reproductions of your pictures.
Iridescent
Iridescent has a beautiful pearlescent luster finish that reflects the light captured by the camera lens that is often lost in prints, which makes it a great choice for oceans, mountains, and cityscapes. Reproductions of those old family photos tucked away in hat boxes are also great on iridescent since it is very good at preserving the detail in your photos.
Vintage
Vintage is very forgiving for low resolution images, also gives that old world charm to you canvas.
Image Effects
The great thing about digital imagery is that you can give your photo or image an almost completely different personality with the help of some software magic. From the timelessness of black & white prints to the sun-kissed warmness of Summer Peach, we have a wide variety of image transformations from which to choose.
