The packaging was damaged. This order was a pretty large canvas, and I was surprised to find that the cardboard was right on top of the surface of the canvas, less the clear plastic bag. There were no corners or bubbles to try and keep the cardboard from creasing the canvas. The edge brace was also dented. The suggested remedy was to heat the canvas to remove the crease and the dent/divot. While it sort of worked, it would have been nice to have been offered something in return for the mishap. I was offered a remake should the hair dryer not work and may still go through this process. The matte finish is described as the best choice for high contrast images containing complex color combinations or very dark colors including black. The photos on the canvas look washed out. I’m trying different light sources and locations to see if there is a difference in appearance. I’ve got the professional business account, and have ordered a couple small/mid size canvases in the past. Overall, those came out well. This order is one I placed for my business as a model. I’m rather leery about ordering large items now with the shipping damage, coloring issues, and potentially having to ask clients to get a hair dryer out to try and fix creasing problems that shouldn’t exist or move their canvas to a different area because the lighting affected the outcome so much.
