I was pleased with the process and I was glad that my note about not including hanging hardware was received. I was also glad that there was no resizing and no cropping. However, I am disappointed that there is no center brace. Cross bracing at the corners, yes, but no center brace? There should have been. That’s the level of detail and quality I was expecting and you let me down there. I also expected the canvas to be “as tight as a drum” as you promote and as others have said, but mine is not. It’s loose and there’s a lot of give. Not sure if that’s related to the lack of a center brace. Lastly, the colors. I had noted that the colors were very important and this is a vibrant illustration directly from the artist. The colors do not appear vibrant, in fact they look undersaturated and the waterfall and mermaid look washed out. I was so eagerly awaiting this as I have been waiting to have this on canvas since 1996 and I thought I had found the ideal place.

About the framing, we typically use more bracing than necessary so that canvases don’t warp or lose their tightness over time, the inclusion of a center brace is just a matter of the size of the frame.
